Latest news- March 2010
We've recently heard that our LCCC funding application to the Dept for Energy and Climate Change was unsuccessful. The funding was for eco-refurbishing the Shrigley Road Toilet Block, to turn it into a "low carbon hub" and eco-refurbishing Dean Valley School. There are plenty more funding sources out there and we intend to continue to pursue other sources of funding.
During 2010 we will also continue to look at feasibility for a water wheel/hydro project on the river dean.

The revolution starts here!
Help us reduce Bollington's carbon footprint
The Bollington Carbon Revolution is a small group of local active
volunteers who believe that their town can be a part of the new carbon
revolution, driven by the voluntary sector at a local level.
Our aim is simple. We have come together with the over-arching aim of
reducing our town's carbon footprint.
Bollington, located in the Northwest of England, was at the heart of the industrial revolution, which brought about the increase in carbon emissions which are widely acclaimed to be responsible for climate change. We would like to be a part of the new carbon revolution which needs to happen at a similar rate of change, bringing about significant reductions in carbon emissions
